STILL ALIVE: IDLE
Purchases & Refunds
Before payment
Still Alive: Idle is operated by Alistair Kerr, trading as The Crooked Corbie. Support: support@stillaliveidle.com; business address: Sawmill Cottage, Philiphaugh, Selkirk, TD7 5LU.
Production purchases are currently disabled. The intended purchase policy is that you must be at least 16 when the paid offering launches; real-money checkout and the age-declaration requirement are not yet active. Sign in and check the account receiving ownership before paying. A checkout intent is linked by our server to that verified account. An existing owner does not need another purchase for the same entitlement. Closed Alpha access is separate from ownership.
Before payment, the offer must show the product, total payable price including applicable taxes, currency, technical requirements, development status and licence scope. Paddle calculates and collects applicable transaction taxes as Merchant of Record; do not infer the developer's own VAT registration from that role.
A one-time purchase grants a continuing personal licence to Still Alive: Idle. It includes version 1.0, all future updates to the core game and subsequent core-game improvements. There is no recurring subscription charge, and you do not need to repurchase the core game when version 1.0 launches. Separately offered expansions, additional standalone products and future games are not automatically included. We will not reclassify ordinary core-game updates as separate paid expansions to avoid these lifetime commitments. Valid complimentary lifetime ownership has the same core-game access scope.
Playing the hosted game depends on the service being available. Lifetime ownership does not guarantee perpetual server availability, but this does not permit arbitrary withdrawal of purchased content or reduce our contractual obligations or your statutory consumer rights.
Paddle and confirmation
Paddle is the authorised reseller/Merchant of Record for the payment. Its checkout identifies the relevant seller entity and presents its buyer terms. Paddle sends purchase confirmation and handles payment support. Keep the receipt and transaction reference. See https://www.paddle.com/legal/buyer-terms and https://paddle.net/.
Our server verifies payment evidence before issuing purchased ownership. A browser success message does not grant ownership. If interrupted, check purchase status before starting another purchase. 'Review required' or 'not confirmed' does not mean you have been charged, nor does it prove provider cancellation. Contact support if the result is unclear; do not repeatedly pay to resolve it.
Cancellation and refunds
Digital purchases are not automatically non-refundable. UK consumers generally have a 14-day cancellation period for relevant distance contracts. Immediate digital supply does not automatically remove that right: loss of the right depends on the applicable conditions, including prior express consent to immediate supply, acknowledgement of the loss of cancellation rights and the required durable confirmation of the contract. Statutory remedies remain available where applicable.
While real-money purchases remain unavailable, no loss of cancellation rights is assumed. A general Terms acknowledgement alone is not treated as consent to immediate supply or acknowledgement of losing cancellation rights.
Losing a cancellation right does not remove remedies for faulty, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming digital content. Depending on the circumstances, applicable law provides repair or replacement and, where those remedies are unavailable or unsuccessful under the relevant rules, a price reduction that may be up to the full price. Paddle's current refund policy also applies: https://www.paddle.com/legal/refund-policy.
Request refund assistance through your receipt or Paddle's buyer support at https://paddle.net/, or contact support@stillaliveidle.com for help. Include the transaction reference and relevant issue, never full card details or passwords. We follow applicable statutory consumer rights and Paddle's applicable refund policy. We do not offer an additional developer money-back guarantee. Paddle may consider discretionary refunds under its policy; this does not limit statutory remedies.
Ownership after a refund
A verified qualifying full refund of a game purchase may end the corresponding DIRECT entitlement. An unconfirmed or partial refund does not automatically establish that lifetime ownership should end; unclear cases require review.
Independent ownership sources remain separate. Refunding a DIRECT purchase does not revoke a valid COMPLIMENTARY entitlement. A refund does not automatically delete your account or saves. Mandatory consumer rights remain protected.
